Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Field Representative I to join our Denver, CO team. You will conduct construction inspections on highway and multimodal projects, ensuring work aligns with engineering plans and specifications.

Role involves measuring quantities for payment, preparing diary reports, and supporting field activities. Travel across Colorado is required, with day, night, and weekend shifts possible. OSHA 10-hour training and project certifications are provided or required within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years related experience preferred.
• Associate degree in a related technical field is acceptable.
• Certifications will be provided or obtained within 6 months of starting the project assignment.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities and verify substantial compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Verify concrete/asphalt pavement, roadways, drainage, bridges, signals, and traffic control meet quality standards.
• Write diary inspection reports and measure quantities for payment.
• Participate in weekly meetings and provide input on work performed.
• Assist with record keeping and field measurements as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Overview

We are seeking a Field Representative I to join our team in Denver, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of talented professionals providing construction inspection on highway and multimodal infrastructure across Colorado. You will work alongside engineers, contractors, and clients as we ensure the work being performed is being completed per the engineering plans and specifications. The work we are doing is improving the quality of our infrastructure, resulting in improvements to our communities that we can all be proud of. Please join our team.

Your role

• Observes construction activities, and determines whether construction work is being performed in substantial compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Verifies work completed is meeting expected quality standards for concrete and asphalt pavement, roadway embankments and road bases, drainage infrastructure, bridge infrastructure, traffic signals, traffic control, and many other components to the project.
• Writes diary inspection reports and measures installed quantities for payment.
• Participates in weekly meetings and provides input as needed for the work performed
• Assists in all types of record keeping and field measurements, as needed.
• Performs other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

• High school diploma (or equivalent) plus two years related experience OR an Associates Degree in a related technical field is required.
• Will be required to obtain project / client specific certifications and OSHA 10-hour construction training within 6 months of beginning the project assignment and maintain certifications during employment. (Note: certification information will be provided in advance of beginning project assignment)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications. Must be able to follow directions, take legible notes, and be physically fit to do manual labor and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Assignment will require travel to projects throughout Colorado
• Work may include daytime, nighttime, and weekend work with hours in excess of the standard 40 hour week

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $25.00 - $35.00 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
