Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector to join our CEI Team in Central Florida (Tampa, FL area) and be part of a growing organization. The ideal candidate should have been directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the construction operations assigned.

The role involves field surveying, construction layout, engineering calculations, and inspection of construction work with supervision from the Project Administrator and collaboration with the Senior Inspector.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• CTQP certifications listed by STV are required or strongly preferred.
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I is required or preferred.
• FDOT Intermediate MOT and Nuclear Radiation Safety certifications are expected.
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors is expected.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Perform field surveying and construction layout tasks.
• Make and check engineering computations.
• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.
• Assist Senior Inspector and report to Project Administrator.

Job description

STV is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector to join our CEI Team in Central Florida (Tampa, FL area) and be part of a growing organization! Our ideal candidate should have been directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the construction operations assigned.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ability to: communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Performing technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
• Making and checking engineering computations
• Inspecting construction work
• Conducting field tests
• Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator and will consist of assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

Qualifications / Certifications:

• CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I
• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Nuclear Radiation Safety

Compensation Range:

$76,421.00 - $86,842.00
