Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Civil/Construction Inspector to oversee highway, bridge and transit projects in Connecticut. You will verify contractor submissions, monitor compliance with documents and regulations, and document nonconforming work with timely corrective actions.

The role requires NICET Level 1 with 4 years of inspection experience, transportation project exposure, and a strong grasp of CTDOT CEI processes, materials, and computations.

Qualifications

  • NICET Level 1 certification with 4 years of construction engineering and inspection experience.
  • Experience on transportation infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CTDOT CEI processes, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  • Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

Job description

  • Working knowledge of COMPASS and AASHTOWare Project NETTCP - Concrete Inspector, ACI - Concrete Certification, NETTCP - HMA Paving Inspector, NACE, AMP, or BCI - Coating Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certifications.
Compensation

Compensation Range: $84,466.00 - $95,984.00
