Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks an experienced CEI Inspector to join our CEI Team in the Central Florida Tampa area. The role involves performing field surveying, construction layout, inspections, and tests under the guidance of the Senior Inspector and Project Administrator.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma and CTQP/IMS A certifications listed, with English communication skills. The compensation range is $76,421–$86,842, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certifications may be obtained within six months of hire.
• CTQP and IMSA certifications listed are desirable for inspection of concrete, asphalt, earthwork, drilled shafts and traffic signals.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveying and construction layout tasks.
• Make and check engineering computations.
• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.

Job description

STV is seeking an experienced CEI Inspector to join our CEI Team in Central Florida (Tampa, FL area) and be part of a growing organization! Our ideal candidate should have been directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the construction operations assigned.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ability to: communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Performing technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
• Making and checking engineering computations
• Inspecting construction work
• Conducting field tests
• Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator and will consist of assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma

Qualifications / Certifications:

Qualifications/certifications for this position may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire

• CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I
• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Nuclear Radiation Safety
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors

Compensation Range:

$76,421.00 - $86,842.00
