Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector to join the Inspection Team in Franklin or Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will be directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the assigned construction operations.

Responsibilities include communicating effectively in English, field surveying and construction layout, engineering computations, inspecting work, conducting field tests, and assisting with geotechnical field exploration under supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction inspection experience.
• TDOT experience preferred.
• Site Manager or AASHTOWare experience preferred.
• Certifications: TDOT Level 1 EPSC, TDOT HMA, TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician; TDOT Concrete Field Technician or ACI Grade 1; TDOT Radiation Safety and Nuclear Gauge; TDOT Soils and Aggregates; Work Zone Traffic Control/Flagging; TDOT Intermediate MOT; 10 Hour OSHA Safety Training.

Job description

STV is seeking a CEI Inspector to join our Inspection Team in either Franklin or Chattanooga, TN and be part of a growing organization! Our ideal candidate should have been directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the construction operations assigned.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Ability to: communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
• Performing technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
• Making and checking engineering computations
• Inspecting construction work
• Conducting field tests
• Assist with geotechnical field exploration activities
• Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator and will consist of assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma

Qualifications / Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience
• TDOT Experience preferred
• Site Manager or AASHTOWare experience preferred
• Possess the following certifications or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from the date of hire
• TDEC Level 1 EPSC
• TDOT HMA Certified Roadway Inspector
• TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician
• TDOT Concrete Field Technician or ACI Grade 1 Concrete Technician
• TDOT Radiation Safety and Nuclear Gauge
• TDOT Soils and Aggregates
• Work Zone Traffic Control/Flagging
• TDOT Intermediate MOT
• 10 Hour OSHA Safety Training

Compensation Range:

$58,804.00 - $66,822.00
