Empower Rental Group is seeking a CEC Technician in Fort Lauderdale to diagnose and repair heavy equipment while actively promoting maintenance and repair services. You will interact with customers to propose service plans and ensure high-quality outcomes, combining technical skills with strong communication.

The role emphasizes diagnosing powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing complex repairs, and supporting sales through value-driven conversations with customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience.
• Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or technical degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods.
• Complete complex repairs to construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery.
• Conduct detailed inspections to ensure equipment compliance and functionality.
• Promote maintenance packages, repair services, and parts; upsell and schedule follow-up services.
• Write and manage purchase orders for repair parts and materials; ensure records are properly closed out.

This position combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to ensure both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
