Classes may include Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 11, Tableau, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology Career Exploration and Computer Skills for Beginners.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree; industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Office, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) are a plus.
• Proficiency in teaching technology courses such as Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 11, and at least one emerging technology such as Artificial Intelligence.
• Strong commitment to teaching, fostering lifelong learning, and supporting the professional development of students within our community.
• Previous experience teaching adults, demonstrating effectiveness in active learning experiences that promote skill development, critical thinking, and practical application.
• Experience and enthusiasm for working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying academic experience levels.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Commitment to promoting student success and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Demonstrated good judgment in decision‑making and classroom management, ensuring a respectful and effective learning atmosphere.
• Flexibility and willingness to teach other topics or courses as needed, contributing to the diverse educational offerings of Community Education programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote the class through various channels and participate in recruitment activities within your network to broaden the reach of potential learners.
• Collaborate with Community Education team to ensure course materials and content are current, relevant, and aligned with educational objectives.
• Provide mentorship and support to students as they progress through their educational journey.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement and achievement of learning outcomes.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in education to enhance course delivery and student engagement.
• Prompt responsiveness to emails and communications from the coordinator.
