The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Workforce Development Instructor with expertise in IT and Computing for non‑credit professional education courses. You will create and teach classes focused on various IT certifications, including A+, Net+, and AWS, as well as coding and programming.
The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications and a strong work history. Class schedules may vary, requiring availability for day, evening, or weekend sessions.
IT and Computing: Hardware, Software, Coding – Workforce Development Instructor (Pooled Position)
Instruction in non‑credit continuing professional education courses in one or more of the following areas: IT certifications – A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco CCNA; AWS; coding/programming; and related subject areas. Responsibilities include creating and teaching courses in your area of subject matter expertise. Class schedules may include day, evening or weekend sessions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area. The board will consider an AS degree or industry‑relevant certifications with strong work history and demonstrated subject‑matter expertise. Professional designations or certifications in the subject matter are desired. Relevant certification is required to teach certification preparation classes.
Demonstrated knowledge of the discipline including current developments and technologies in the related field of specialization. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to use technology in education.
Please be specific in stating your areas of expertise and experience. Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in the subject area and at least 1 year of classroom teaching experience with non‑traditional adult students is preferred.
