Job summary

Alamo Colleges District is seeking instructors to teach Continuing Education courses in a part-time capacity. Courses run during daytime, evenings, and weekends, and may occur at multiple campuses or partner locations throughout the academic year.

Instructors will bring forklift operation experience, knowledge of warehouse operations, and strong communication skills. The role requires a valid forklift certification and trainer credentials from an OSHA-approved program.

Job Summary and Description

Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year.

• Three (3) years of hands-on forklift operating experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in internet use and Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Forklift Operator Certification and authorized trainer credentials from an accredited safey organization or OSHA-approved program.

Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen
