Job summary

Team Royal is seeking a Project Engineer to lead Construction Engineering & Inspection (CE&I) services for transportation and public infrastructure projects in Alabama. You will oversee construction administration, QA/QC, schedule management, and project delivery while coordinating with owners, contractors, and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a PE license in Alabama or ability to obtain licensure by comity, a bachelor's degree in engineering, and proven experience with

Qualifications

• PE license in Alabama or ability to obtain licensure by comity.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience managing ALDOT or municipal transportation projects.
• Understanding of roadway, bridge, drainage and utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage CE&I activities for roadway, bridge, drainage, and infrastructure construction.
• Serve as owner's representative during construction and lead inspection staff.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay apps, and contract modifications.
• Monitor progress, schedules, budgets, and contract compliance.
• Lead QA/QC efforts and ensure compliance with ALDOT standards.
• Support project closeout and post-construction documentation.
