Job summary

Royal is seeking a Project Engineer to lead Construction Engineering & Inspection services for transportation and public infrastructure projects in Florida. The role focuses on construction administration, QA/QC, schedule management, contractor coordination, and successful project delivery.

Ideal candidates will have a Florida PE license or eligibility, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and proven experience with FDOT/municipal transportation projects, along with strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Professional Engineer license in Florida or eligible for licensure by endorsement.
Valid Driver's License.
Knowledge of roadway, bridge, drainage, paving, traffic control, and utilities construction.
Experience with contract administration, change orders, estimates, pay quantities, and construction documentation.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Manage CE&I activities for roadway, bridge, drainage, utility, and infrastructure construction projects.
Serve as owner's representative during construction and lead inspection and project staff.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government agencies, utility providers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and contract modifications.
Monitor contractor performance, schedules, budgets, and contract compliance.
Perform and oversee field inspections of roadway, bridge, drainage, paving, structures, and utilities.
