Job summary

NRDC's Climate & Energy Department seeks a graduate intern to support its Carbon Management work in the Industrial Division. The intern will report to the Senior Carbon Management Specialist and work onsite in Chicago or San Francisco three days a week.

Responsibilities include tracking policy developments, mapping stakeholders, and developing briefing materials to advance responsible CDR policy. This paid internship offers hands-on experience with researchers, lawyers, and policy analysts,

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support NRDC’s carbon dioxide removal policy work and track developments.
• Map stakeholders and summarize perspectives from policymakers, industry representatives, and other experts.
• Develop policy briefs, educational materials, and presentations for partners and policymakers.
• Support outreach and convenings that strengthen NRDC’s role in CDR policy.
• Assist in preparing communications resources for policy discussions.
