Job summary

Napa Valley Care Center in Napa, CA is seeking an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary services team and ensure high-quality nutrition for residents. As a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will plan and direct daily dietary operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and support clinical nutrition goals while maintaining a resident-centered dining experience.

Qualifications

• Current CDM certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dietary regulations, food service operations, and sanitation standards.
• Experience supervising dietary or food service staff.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the dietary department.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
• Oversee meal planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
• Monitor food quality, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary care team.
• Assist with menu development and dietary modifications.
• Supervise, train, and support dietary staff.
• Maintain inventory and food supply controls.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and implement process improvements.
• Promote resident satisfaction through excellent customer service and dining experiences.
• Ensure documentation and departmental records remain accurate and compliant.
