Job summary

PACS in Concord, NH is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operation of our dietary department. This full-time role ensures meals meet dietary needs, physician orders, and regulatory standards while leading the dietary team.

You will manage budgets, collaborate with nursing and activities, provide staff training, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Dietary Manager/CDM program meeting state and federal requirements.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing dietary department preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, therapeutic diets, and long-term care dietary practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Must maintain all required continuing education and applicable credentials/licensure.
• Must remain in good standing with the applicable Department of Public Health License and Certification Division.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and service of safe, nutritious, meals.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements, physician orders, and approved menus.
• Manage the dietary department budget, control costs, and order food and supplies as needed.
• Plan and assist with supervision/hiring, training, and evaluating dietary staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Coordinate dietary services with nursing, activities, and other departments.
