Job summary

Bayview Healthcare Ltd. in Melbourne, FL seeks a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to plan, organize, and oversee the Nutrition/Food Services Department. The role ensures daily delivery of quality nutritional services in a clean, safe setting under the supervision of the Administrator or Food Services Director.

The CDM will supervise staff, manage costs, and coordinate diet therapy and food management to meet regulatory standards and resident needs in a skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited dietetic training program is required.
• CDM Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and oversee Nutritional Services/Food Services Department operations.
• Ensure quality nutritional services daily and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary department.
• Adhere to current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Support Administrator or Food Services Director in department management.

• Primary Purpose of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

  The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the operations of the Nutritional Services/Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our Facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator or the Food Services Director, to assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Nutritional Services/Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner

  Qualifications of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

  Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.

• Must graduate from an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.

• CDM Certification required.

• Experience of the CDM (Certified Dietary Manager):

  Must have, as a minimum three (3) years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care Facility, or other related medical Facility.

  Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
