Job summary

C3 Trucking, based in Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for a local dedicated account with a 3:00 a.m. start. You will haul dry groceries within a 250-mile radius, including NYC boroughs, Long Island, NJ, and New England.

Loads are multi-stop (2–3 stops per trailer) with some days longer; lift-gate trailers are present on some NYC deliveries. Expect slip-seat trucks and a typical weekly pay of about $1,800–$2,000, with required DOT and drug testing.

Qualifications

• 3 months Class A experience with a 53 ft trailer.
• Clean MVR.
• Clean background.
• NO SAP DRIVERS.
• Must pass hair and urine drug test and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dry groceries within 250 miles of Windsor Locks on 53 ft trailers.
• Perform multi-stop loads typically 2–3 stops per trailer.
• Plan NYC deliveries daily and coordinate with local distribution centers.
• Slip-seat with overnight time off not guaranteed; some lifts needed in NYC.

6th day available for extra money.

Deliver dry groceries on a '53,'51,'48, or'45 ft trailer to supermarkets and distribution centers within 250 miles of Windsor Locks.
Deliveries to NYC – Boroughs +Long Island 80-90%, NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA, parts of NY upstate.
DRIVERS SHOULD PLAN TO DELIVER IN NYC BOROUGHS DAILY. .
Multi-stop loads, usually 2-3 stops per trailer.
Drivers normally do one long load per day, occasionally followed by a short load if hours permit.
Drivers will pick up return product at the final stop or pick up a backhaul back to the DC.
Some trailers have lift gates. Trailers delivering in NYC will have lift gates.
Trucks will be slip-seated. The acct will try to keep the drivers in the same trucks but they will be sharing with a driver on an opposite shift. There is no guarantee, however. The drivers should expect to slip seat.
Automatic daycabs that cannot be taken home for time off.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Drivers will be unloading when needed with an electric pallet jack.
Drivers will help support other accts in the local area as needed.

Average weekly pay: $1800-$2000
