Job summary

HD Supply Canada, Inc seeks a Yard Switcher in Flower Mound, TX to operate a switcher truck moving trailers, backing into docks, and performing safety checks. This role supports dock operations in a busy DC yard.

You will document trailer moves, assist loading/unloading, and refuel as needed. A CDL with hazmat endorsement and a clean MVR are required, with usually minimal travel involved.

Qualifications

• Current Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsement.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• No more than 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past rolling 3 years.
• Prior yard jockey experience.

Responsibilities

• Transports trailers within a distribution center yard and moves them between docks.
• Performs DOT-compliant equipment inspections and secures trailers.
• Couples/uncouples tractor trailer units when needed.
• Organizes line haul trailers to ensure efficient inventory movement.
• Documents trailer moves and refuels the switcher truck as required.
