Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Yard Jockey with a valid Class A CDL to safely move trailers within the distribution center yard and, when needed, on public roads. You will train under a Professional Driver Trainer and contribute to gate times that support service levels.

The role requires operating at night on a 2nd shift schedule and maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations. Benefits are offered day one, with overtime as needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and Medical Card.
• Experience maneuvering and backing trailers (up to 53') with a jockey wagon.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive a jockey wagon to move trailers around the distribution center yard, including moves on public roadways.
• Check and log trailer temperatures using pre-programmed settings when available.
• Complete yard inventory and enter data into the yard management system when applicable.
• Clean, fuel, and inspect the vehicle and trailers you move.
• Perform other duties such as store deliveries, stacking salvage, or operating propane fueling where applicable.
