Dexter in Springfield, MO is hiring a Yard Driver at the Springfield Distribution Center to safely move trailers around the yard and support dock operations. This role involves positioning trailers at doors, staging areas, and parking spots to keep loading and unloading on schedule.

You’ll operate yard trucks, perform basic inspections, and communicate with warehouse staff. A valid Class A CDL, safety focus, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with yard operations and trailer movement preferred.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from dock doors and yard locations.
• Position trailers at loading docks and staging areas.
• Coordinate trailer moves with warehouse staff and drivers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard trucks.
• Track and record trailer locations and movements.
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures.
