Job summary

HOGAN & ASSOCIATES CONSTRUCTION INC in Layton, UT seeks a Support Yard Driver 1 to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to active job sites. The CDL A driver will operate dump trucks, water trucks, and other heavy vehicles while following DOT regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Current DOT Medical Card required.
• 2+ years of experience operating commercial vehicles in construction/excavation.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment or construction materials preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles including dump and water trucks, truck & pup, lowboys, and transport trucks.
• Transport equipment, materials, aggregates, pipes, and supplies to and from job sites and yard locations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company requirements.
• Secure loads properly and verify weight distribution for safe transport.
• Maintain logs and inspection reports; document safety concerns and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and crews to meet delivery schedules and project demands.
• Assist with general labor tasks to support project progress as needed.
