Job summary

H & H Sheet Metal Fabricators Inc is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to project sites and company facilities. You will handle loading/unloading, cargo securing, and routine vehicle inspections, while logging trips and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication with dispatch, and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Acceptable MVR
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to travel and work overtime/weekends ASAP

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, flatbeds, gooseneck trailers)
• Transport materials, tools, equipment to project sites and facilities
• Assist with loading/unloading and securing cargo using tie-downs
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Complete driver logs, bills of lading, and related paperwork
• Comply with DOT/HOS/FMCSA regulations and company policies
• Coordinate with dispatch and field personnel on delivery schedules
• Assist warehouse staff with staging materials and inventory when not driving
• Maintain clean, safe vehicles and report maintenance issues
• Provide professional customer service to clients and vendors
• Attend safety meetings and transportation training
