Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Utility Driver to service customers with waste and recycling collections across assigned routes in Ohio. The role requires operating various trucks, performing pre-trip inspections, and delivering reliable service in a safe manner.

Candidates should have a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and at least 1-2 years of CDL experience; willingness to work nights/weekends; physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs; must be able to read maps and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• CDL truck driving experience required.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to travel between offices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must read/speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Operate various types of trucks and routes
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• Pick up missed stops and/or routes as needed
• Deliver trash/recycling containers as needed
• Replace trash/recycling containers neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned
