Job summary

Turner Specialty Services in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks an experienced Vacuum Truck Operator to transport and operate vacuum trucks in the local area. You will work under Turner Industries, following client specifications, ensuring safe loading, secure loads, and on-time service.

The role requires a CDL, TWIC, DOT knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety; you will support field operations, conduct basic preventive maintenance, and coordinate with supervisors to keep projects moving while meeting

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent mandatory.
Knowledge of DOT regulations required.
TWIC card required.
CDL vacuum experience in an industrial environment preferred.
Ability to interpret routes, tickets, operating instructions, and client procedures.
Must have CDL license and manual transmission capability.
Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical.
Site safety requirements and proper PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety policies of client and company, and DOT requirements.
Ensure safe loading and unloading of vacuum trucks and secure loads.
Maintain CDL driver qualifications and license validity.
Mobilize/demobilize hoses and equipment; clean equipment after jobs.
Direct Vacuum Technicians under supervisor guidance and oversee safety execution.
Relay equipment deficiencies or maintenance needs to supervisor or mechanic.
