Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a qualified Vacuum Truck Operator for work in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The role involves transporting and operating vacuum trucks (Liquid and Air Mover) to meet client and company requirements.

Responsibilities include safe loading/unloading, load security, and adherence to DOT regulations. Candidates must have CDL, TWIC, and be able to work under safety protocols, with post-offer drug screening and physicals required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of DOT Regulations.
• TWIC card required.
• Ability to interpret travel paths, driving routes, tickets and procedures.
• Ability to drive manual transmission equipment.
• CDL vacuum experience preferred.
• CDL license.
• Safety training and/or safety experience in industrial settings.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Client requirements: safety gear and PPE.
• Applicant must not pose risk to health or others.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies of client and company and DOT requirements.
• Ensure tasks and vacuum jobs are completed safely and without incidents.
• Maintain CDL driver qualifications and updated license.
• Load/unload vacuum trucks safely and secure loads.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor preventative maintenance.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor/mechanic.
• Direct Vacuum Technicians and oversee safety execution when required.
• Other duties per supervisor's direction.
