Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Vactor Operator to drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks, perform maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation. The role includes pre-shift inspections, laborer duties as needed, and potential travel to job sites across the region.

The position is full-time, non-exempt with typical Monday–Friday hours and may include shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays. A CDL and clean driving record are required, along with pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• CDL license with medical card required.
• Previous construction field experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks.
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance on waste systems.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection.
• Perform laborer duties as needed for timely, quality work and assist on special projects.
• Travel required.

Your Responsibilities As a Vactor Operator

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection
• Performs laborer duties as needed to ensure a timely and quality job and carry out special projects as assigned
• Travel Required

What We Need From You (Our Requirements)

• CDL License, class A or B with medical card
• Previous experience working in the construction field
• A record of safe vehicle operation
• Possess a good driving record over the last 3 years and successful completion of a pre-employment background check, reference check, and drug screen.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
