Airgas, Inc. is seeking a safety-minded Bulk CO2 Driver in New Berlin, WI. You will operate a cryogenic tanker and perform 12–20 daily deliveries to replenish Microbulk tanks, with automatic transmission trucks and a slip-seat operation.

This role requires a Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement (Hazmat preferred, eligible for within 60 days). Competitive benefits and a 1:00 PM shift on a Wed-Sun schedule await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; can obtain within 60 days of hire at Airgas expense.
• No more than 2 traffic convictions or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• No DUI/controlled substance driving within the last 7 years.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or trucking school completion within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bulk CO2 product safely to customer tanks using hose hook-up.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and company maintenance checklists.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and ensure the route truck stays in safe working order.

• Compensation: $27.50/hr (Plus overtime availability)
• Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday

About the Role

Airgas National Carbonation (ANC) is a specialized division of Airgas that focuses on delivering CO2 (carbon dioxide) to support drink carbonation for businesses such as restaurants, bars, craft breweries, fast-food locations, and entertainment venues.

As a Bulk CO2 Driver, you will operate a cryogenic tanker, making roughly 12-20 deliveries per day to replenish onsite cryogenic delivery systems known as Microbulk tanks.

• All ANC trucks are modern day cabs with automatic transmissions.
• We utilize an efficient slip-seat operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Delivery: Safely transfer bulk CO2 product from the Airgas truck to the customer's tank utilizing a hose hook-up.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations and company maintenance checklists.
• Collaboration: Ensure the route truck remains in proper, safe working order, and coordinate routine or required maintenance on a timely basis.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred at time of application; candidates willing to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire will also be considered (costs fully covered by Airgas).
• No more than 2 traffic convictions or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last 7 years.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years OR a Certificate of Completion from a trucking school (completed in the last 12 months).

Preferred Qualifications

• CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus, but not required. We will train!
