Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver for the Satellite Department within Transportation. The role involves shuttling backhauls, delivering to stores, inspecting vehicles, and maintaining paperwork, while adhering to federal regulations and safety standards.

The position reports to the VP/Director of Transportation and requires a valid CDL, high school or equivalent, and 1–3 years of related experience. Expect a mix of warehouse, vehicle, and store environments with demanding deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Trailer jockeying experience preferred.
• Over one year up to three years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives in a safe manner taking into account weather conditions and obeying all laws and regulations.
• Delivers product to stores, including backing across parking lots and back hauls as assigned.
• Completes log book, trip mileage chart, fuel slips, and back haul paperwork.
• Inspects and communicates repairs and preventative maintenance to tractor and trailer as needed.
• Provides 100% customer service and communicates with warehouse and store personnel.
• Reports to work as scheduled and works the expected number of hours.
