Job summary

Hy-Vee in Iowa is seeking a Lomar Route Driver to deliver products safely and on time. You will operate a semi-tractor and trailer, complete necessary paperwork, and provide courteous customer service at store level.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip inspections, adhering to hours of service per DOT, and maintaining accurate logs. Experience with reefer units and forklift-like tasks is a plus, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL license required; DOT certified.
• Excellent customer relations and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read and write to complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time and meets delivery schedule.
• Operates semi-tractor and trailer safely to scheduled destination.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and uses electronic logging device as required.
• Complies with DOT hours of service, logging and drug testing requirements.
• Handles customer service duties at the customer location.
