Job summary

Hy-Vee seeks a Lomar Route Driver in the Distribution department to safely operate company vehicles, perform required paperwork, and deliver products to stores. You will provide customer service at the store level and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety protocols.

The role requires a CDL, DOT certification, and 1–2 years of semi-driving experience. Strong safety awareness and ability to follow DOT regulations are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CDL license required; DOT certified.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years semi-driving experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates semi-tractor and trailer in a safe and professional manner to scheduled destination.
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DOT logs; adheres to hours of service.
• Follows all DOT regulations and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
• Reports to Transportation Manager and coordinates with dispatcher for route and ETA.
• Performs customer service duties at the customer location, including product placement and paperwork.
