I. Job Summary

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal requirements; maintains a clean and safe vehicle.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR; notes issues for repair.
• Reports unsafe situations or service calls immediately.
• Participates in training, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Works with Route Managers to improve routes and address issues.
• Performs duties as scheduled, assisting other drivers as needed.
• Notifies Route Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Ensures containers are dumped properly, leaves the site clean, and completes documentation.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

Education: None required. Experience: No prior work experience required. Licenses: Commercial Driver’s License B (CDL). Must be 18+ years old. Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and have an acceptable driving record.
