Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. in Bozeman, MT is seeking a skilled CDL A Driver for heavy civil projects across North America. The role requires a Hazmat/Tanker endorsement, a clean driving record, and DOT knowledge.

You will transport water for construction, apply water for compaction and dust control, perform safety checks, and support site operations. Expect 50–70 hour weeks with strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:

• Must have a valid CDL A with a Hazmat/Tanker endorsement and a satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Drives truck to transport water for construction projects and to apply water for compaction and/or dust control on the construction site.
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation.
• Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle to remain in proper and safe working order.
• Responsible for notifying supervisor if vehicle needs to be repaired.
• Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts.
• Understands safety and occupational hazards of work.
• Satisfactory driving record.

• Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
