Job summary

Greensboro Auto Auction, Inc. is seeking experienced tractor-trailer drivers to haul 9-car carriers with Western Star tractors and cottrell high rail trailers. Home time is typically 3–4 nights per week, with common runs totaling 1,500–2,500 miles weekly.

Pay ranges from $0.58–$0.73 per mile, depending on the number of cars hauled. Jumps are dispatched via E‑log and Qualcomm systems. Benefits include major medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401K, plus paid vacation, holidays and sick/personal

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must have at least one year of 9 car hauling experience.
• Experience hauling with tractor-trailer units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for damage to the outside and frame.
• Load each vehicle by strapping and securing with a ratchet bar.
• Verify clearance between vehicles and docks and ensure final height.
• Unload vehicles at destination and obtain dealer signature on bill of laded.

Job description

Greensboro Auto Auction and Direct Transport are currently seeking a driver for our 9 car carriers. We run all new Western Star trucks with cottrell high rail trailers and quick loaders equipped with straps not chains. All of our trucks are strategically maintained and well kept. Drivers will be home on an average 3-4 nights per week, all trucks are run on E log system and are mostly qualcomm dispatched. Pay ranges from .58-.73 per mile based on the number of cars being hauled at one time, drivers will run an average of 1500-2500 miles per week. Qualifications for this position is a valid class A CDL, with 3 years tractor trailer experience. EOE. Willing to train right candidate for hauling. $2000 sign on bonus.

DUTIES

Car Haulers are required to: Inspect vehicles for damage to the outside and frame, including wheels and tires. Load each vehicle by strapping each vehicle and using a ratchet bar to secure them for transportation. Verify required clearance between vehicles and docks and ensure final height. Upon reaching destination, unload each vehicle and have the dealer representative sign off on bill of laden.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have up to date CDL license. Must have at least one year of 9 car hauling experience. Loading vehicles require a lot of climbing, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting. This job will remain open until the position is filled. You must complete an application for consideration for this job.
