Job summary

Hood Distribution is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber, plywood and related products in Pittsburgh, PA. The CDL Driver will deliver materials to cabinet and millwork shops, follow dispatch directions, and assist with unloading while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Requires a valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record and tarping experience; forklift familiarity is a plus. The role supports warehouse operations when not delivering, and offers a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Valid State CDL Class A or B Driver’s License.
• Driving record must be clean/good.
• Some tarping experience required.
• Familiar with forklift operation; able to work independently and in a team.
• Professional and customer-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber and building materials to cabinet/millwork shops and lumber dealers.
• Follow dispatcher directions to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist customers with unloading trucks as needed.
• Ensure materials are loaded and secured for travel.
• Comply with DOT regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the warehouse when no deliveries are scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
