Job summary

Hood Distribution, a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber, is seeking a CDL Truck Driver (Class A) to operate out of our Cabinet Shop in Carnegie, PA, delivering to cabinet shops and lumber dealers.

The role involves 1–2 overnight trips per week with a $60 per diem nightly, importance of safety, DOT compliance, and occasional warehouse support.

Qualifications include valid CDL A, clean driving record, tarping experience, forklift ability, and a professional, customer-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Valid State CDL Class A license.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience tarping loads for truck deliveries.
• Able to operate a forklift when needed.
• Professional, customer-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber and building materials to cabinet/millwork shops and lumber dealers.
• Follow dispatcher directions and ensure deliveries are accurate and timely.
• Assist customers with unloading trucks as needed.
• Ensure materials are loaded and secured for travel per standards.
• Comply with DOT regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist in warehouse duties when no delivery is scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
