Job summary

Tulsa Gas & Gear is seeking a Local CDL Truck Driver in Tulsa, OK. You will perform local deliveries, ensuring on-time service while complying with DOT rules and safety standards.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and at least 1 year of driving experience. You’ll be home nightly with a strong benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Hazmat Endorsement required.
• At least 1 year of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Must meet USDOT physical qualification requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• May lift, push or move product up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads product to and from destinations.
• Provides excellent customer service by delivering information and answering inquiries.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and company policies.
• Complies with safety policies, procedures, and DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Completes required training and maintains records as required.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and performs basic maintenance.
• Operates in various weather conditions and adheres to delivery schedules.
• Maintains driver’s license and endorsements as required.

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Clean driving record
• Must have Hazmat Endorsement
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to lift, push or move product weighing 100lbs.
• Must meet the physical qualification requirement established for the USDOT
• Must pass DOT drug screen and be enrolled in a random drug screen program

Preferred qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of cryogenic pumps, tanks, transports, hydraulic equipment and diesel engines preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of industrial, medical and specialty gases preferred, but not required

Essential duties/responsibilities:

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads product to and from specified destinations.
• Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
• Performs pre and post trip inspections on truck according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
• Complies with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Completes all company, state and federal required training.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and performs general maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Willing to operate equipment in all types of weather conditions and adhere to a schedule determined by client demand.
• Maintain required DOT, Federal, State and company records including handwritten logs or digital logs, hours of service, payroll hours, vehicle inspections, job and maintenance reports, service tickets, and shipping manifests according to state and federal DOT regulations.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license with required endorsements.
