Job summary

The Arthur Companies in Harvey, North Dakota, is seeking a CDL Class A truck driver to transport product and support operations in a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment.

You will inspect vehicles, load and unload as needed, and complete required reporting while adhering to DOT and OSHA requirements and maintaining equipment in excellent condition.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with a medical card is required or in scope.
• Three years of driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in dust.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks.
• Perform completion of all required reporting.
• Maintain all required certifications by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs.
• Maintain company property in excellent condition.
• Inspects truck before and after trips, requesting repair as needed.
• Reads bill of lading to determine assignments.
• Secure trailer during transit.
• Assist or be responsible for loading or unloading of the truck.
• Service truck with oil, fuel and other required fluids.
• Drive applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• CDL Class A License with a Medical Card
• Three years of driving experience preferred
• Acceptable driving record
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a team player
• Ability to:
  • lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • work in dust
  • open traps on trailerstrucks
  • climb a ladder of varying heights
