Safely operate a large vehicle to collect and transport solid waste, recyclables, and other materials
Load and unload the truck, and operate the mechanical attachments for loading, compressing, and dumping
Check dumpsters for unacceptable waste and repair needs, and retrieve recycling containers
Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform pre-trip inspections and ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle
Wash the interior and exterior of the truck
Report needed repairs
Drive along a predetermined route to designated areas
Be willing to work in almost any type of weather conditions
