Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Waste Collection Driver to support residential and commercial routes. You will drive trucks, operate equipment, maintain cleanliness, and perform daily vehicle inspections.

You will interact with customers, work with a team, and comply with safety protocols in varying weather and outdoor conditions. The role requires a current CDL with no manual restrictions and insurance-based eligibility, including a minimum age of 25.

Responsibilities

• Waste Collection: Drive trucks along predetermined routes using a provided tablet to collect waste from residential and commercial areas.
• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate and maneuver trucks, adhering to established routes and schedules for waste collection.
• Equipment Handling: Operate the truck’s equipment, including hydraulic lift systems, to pick up dumpsters and empty contents into the truck or loading and unloading containers.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of the truck, maintain its cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Customer Interaction: Provide courteous service to residents and business owners.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions.
• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines, including adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
• Outdoor Work: The job involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, performing physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and support staff to ensure efficient waste collection and disposal operations.
