DATTCO, INC in Rhode Island is hiring as a School Bus Driver Trainee. You will participate in our comprehensive training program to earn your CDL and become a fully licensed School Bus Driver, transporting students to and from school and activities.

This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, CDL endorsement preparation, and support from experienced trainers. You will start with an hourly training rate of $18 and progress into a driver role with community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• Ability to obtain Yellow Card through CCRI.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and DOT physical.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Participate in comprehensive training to learn how to transport students safely.
• Learn state and federal school transportation regulations.
• Prepare for and obtain CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Learn defensive driving techniques and student management skills.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Transition into a School Bus Driver role after training.
