Republic Services is hiring a Driver Trainee in Lexington, VA to join its CDL training program. Trainees will complete classroom, on-route training, and obtain a CDL, then move into a Driver role across Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Roll-Off operations.

During training you will learn vehicle inspections, route execution, safety practices, and after CDL you will perform all driver duties. The program emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Program to obtain CDL through Republic Services' training.
• Commitment to complete 12 months of employment after CDL.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Learn to operate heavy trucks on assigned routes and service customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training including classroom, on-route instruction, and practice driving.
• Learn to perform vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Operate heavy trucks on designated routes to service customers.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and ensure proper disposal.
