Qualifications

• Complete CDL Examiner training and obtain certification before testing.

Responsibilities

• Administer knowledge (written) tests for CDL applicants per FMCSA standards.
• Administer skills (driving) tests and evaluate performance.
• Verify applicant eligibility: age, medical, and driving record.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and retesting procedures.
• Ensure testing procedures comply with state regs, FMCSA guidelines and DOT policies.
• Provide clear instructions and feedback to applicants and schools.
• Report testing facility issues and maintain vehicle safety for exams.
