Job summary

Beltway Companies is seeking a Full-Time CDL Test Driver to join our team. The role involves performing road tests on medium- and heavy-duty trucks after repairs and ensuring issues are resolved to meet quality standards.

You will monitor vehicle performance, document results for the Service Manager andTechnicians, and uphold DOT and safety regulations while supporting the service team to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving or equivalent mechanical/service experience.
• Experience operating/testing medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of truck systems (brakes, engines, transmissions).
• Ability to communicate effectively with service staff and management.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform road tests on medium- and heavy-duty trucks following repairs.
• Verify that all reported issues are resolved and repairs meet quality standards.
• Monitor vehicle performance including braking, steering, acceleration and engine response.
• Document and communicate test results clearly to the Service Manager and Technicians.
• Follow all DOT, company and safety regulations while operating trucks.
• Support the service team in maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Pay Range of $20 - $25 per hour based on experience

Position Overview:

Requirements

• Valid CDL B or A driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• At least 5 years of commercial driving or equivalent mechanical/service experience required
• Prior experience operating and/or testing medium- and heavy-duty trucks
• Basic mechanical knowledge of truck systems (brakes, engines, transmissions, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively with service staff and management
