Apex Waste Solutions in Steamboat Springs, CO is hiring a CDL Commercial Swing Driver to provide operational support across multiple routes. The role requires driving residential, commercial, and roll-off equipment, with coverage during vacations and peak periods.

The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, customer-oriented, and adaptable to travel between Parker and Denver North facilities as needed. High school diploma required; experience in the waste industry is beneficial.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Acceptable MVR.
• Safe operation of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to learn new routes quickly.

• Flexible with scheduling.
• Experience in waste industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate residential front-load, rear-load, automated side-load, commercial front-load, and roll-off vehicles.
• Perform daily route assignments based on operational needs (residential, commercial, roll-off).
• Provide coverage for driver absences, vacations, and peak periods.
• Travel between Parker and Denver North facilities as needed.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any defects.
• Operate equipment per DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Safely navigate various properties and sites.
• Complete route paperwork and logs accurately.
• Report safety concerns and incidents promptly.
• Assist with route training and operational support.
