Job summary

Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Inc. is seeking an Occasional Transportation Driver to provide safe, friendly transportation for residents on and off campus, primarily using the Outdoor Shuttle.

The role supports Life Enrichment programs and events, with some evenings and weekends, and Fridays on-campus shuttle service. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CDL, and a Virginia driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Licensing: High School diploma or equivalent, CDL required.
• Virginia driver’s license with clean record and VMRC vehicle operation ability.
• Physical ability to assist with wheelchair handling and mobility.
• Experience with older adults and strong guest/service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely on campus using the Outdoor Shuttle and assist as needed.
• Drive off-campus to Life Enrichment programs and activities; support LE team in events.
• Engage residents with friendly, courteous service and maintain professionalism during all trips.
