Job summary

The City of Grapevine is looking for a driver to operate vehicles in their Visitor Transportation Shuttle System. Responsibilities include transporting visitors, maintaining positive public relations, and managing collections.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, a valid Texas Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement, and a strong customer service orientation. Knowledge of the local area is a plus, and the applicant should be available for a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check.
• Must attend Defensive Driving classes as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Transport visitors on designated routes and unscheduled runs.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Collect fares and maintain records of collections.
• Promote good public relations and customer service.

Skills

Ability to count money and make change correctly

Ability to operate credit card machine

Ability to communicate orally and in writing

Ability to maintain accurate records

Ability to organize and supervise customer groups

Ability to sit for extended periods

Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office

Outgoing guest service oriented individual

Geographical knowledge of the metroplex and Grapevine

Education

High school diploma or GED

Valid Texas Class B CDL Drivers License with passenger endorsement
