Job summary

Allegheny Health Network located in Pittsburgh seeks a Patient Transporter to move patients, visitors, and staff safely within off-site locations using passenger vehicles. You may also assist as a parking cashier and perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.

The role requires a PA Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and adherence to HIPAA and company privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Preferred One year experience driving a vehicle requiring a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
• Additional Employment Requirements: Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transports and assists patients, visitors, and/or employees requiring escorts to parking facilities and off-sight locations and carries a mobile radio to maintain contact with base at all times.
• Maintains daily activity logs relevant to trips and completes pre-trip inspection for vehicle reliability.
• May perform duties of the parking cashier by maintaining equipment, verifying and collecting parking fees, emptying ticket bins and restocking entrance gate parking tickets.
• May perform other department functions as assigned such as maintaining a clean and well-functioning environment by collecting trash, wiping parking equipment and sweeping garage.
• Maintains an annual employee health card, valid PA commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement and adheres to random drug screens.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
