Legacy Healthcare is seeking a reliable School Bus Driver to transport students safely to and from school, field trips, and activities. A valid CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement is required, and Illinois regulations apply.

You should maintain a safe environment on the bus and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Responsibilities include route adherence, inspections, reporting issues, assisting with boarding/exiting, and keeping records.

Formación

• Valid CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement is REQUIRED.
• S endorsement or eligibility to obtain it as required by Illinois regulations.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug/alcohol testing, and medical requirements.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when working with children.
• Previous school bus or related transportation experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Safely transport students to and from school and scheduled activities.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and transportation procedures.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the bus.
• Follow traffic laws, school transportation regulations, and safety procedures.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, accidents, or incidents promptly.
• Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely when needed.
• Maintain communication with school staff, parents/guardians, and transportation personnel.
• Keep the bus clean and in safe operating condition.
• Complete required transportation records and reports.
• Maintain student confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Participate in required safety training and meetings.
