Distinctive Schools of IL is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver in Chicago, IL. This role requires a CDL-B, a clean driving record, and a reliable background check to transport students safely on established routes.

You will follow a set schedule, assist passengers with disabilities, and travel up to 100 miles as needed while maintaining professional interactions with staff and families. Start August 2026 with compensation up to $27 per hour.

Qualificações

• Must have Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B)
• Successful background check
• Good driving record
• Previous school transportation experience
• Flexible with route changes
• Physical ability to perform required work
• Maintain a professional relationship with supervisors, staff, families, students and the public
• Knowledge of radio routing and attendance software

Responsabilidades

• Pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at school and designated after-school location
• Transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting events
• Drive safely along designated routes
• Obey traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit regulations
• Assist passengers with disabilities to get on the bus
• Follow a specific timetable while on duty
• Assist with school monitoring or other tasks as requested by supervisor
• Prevent or stop unruly behavior from passengers
• Reasonably travel distances of up to 100 miles
