Job summary

Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School is seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to transport middle and high school students between stops and campuses. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, strict schedules, and attentive student support while maintaining a clean, well‑maintained vehicle.

Applicants must hold a Commercial Driver's License with P and S endorsements, have at least two years of school bus driving experience, and possess a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven work experience as a school bus driver.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last 5 years.
• Must be able to drive a 72-passenger bus and hold a Commercial Driver's License with P and S endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the bus and ensure passenger safety.
• Pick up and transport students to designated stops and assist riders with disabilities.
• Adhere to schedules and adjust routes as needed to maintain on-time performance.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and report any maintenance issues.
• Comply with regulations for driving a commercial vehicle and school policies.
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel, and passenger counts.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when required.
• Stay updated on routes and detours.
