Cabot Public Schools, Inc. is seeking a reliable Bus Driver under the supervision of the Director of Transportation to transport students and staff safely to and from school and on field trips.

The role requires a valid CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to manage student behavior while following district procedures. Background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Motor Vehicle Operator's License required.
• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred both oral and written.
• Successful completion of all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a school bus on designated routes on school days.
• Transport students, teachers and others on field or activity trips.
• Inspect bus daily to ensure it is clean and safe.
• Clean and refuel bus as needed.
• Ensure communication device is working before each trip.
• Report mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents promptly.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections.
• Coordinate routine maintenance transport to/from facilities.
• Maintain order and discipline among students per district policies.
• Monitor route timing and submit required records for efficiency.
• Ensure no child is left alone on the bus and all depart appropriately.
• Prepare for and supervise bus drills and evacuations.
• Follow medical emergency procedures with written reports.
• Attend trainings and adhere to district policies.
